Branching Out Books was created by Karen Li and Rachael Constantine to offer a new style of reading for children and their carers.
We have written Henry’s Anger Monster as a stand-alone story for you to enjoy. It can, however, also be employed as a useful tool to talk with young children about their emotions and the effect that those emotions have on their behaviour. The story itself guides children through the emotions of anger and anxiety.
The workbook and guide give adults a deeper understanding of the challenges their child is facing, and tried and tested strategies to help resolve these issues. The pack has been used by many families to open up the discussion around anger, and work together towards a more positive future. You can get your copy here.
The Golden Mango Tree is a celebration of all that it means to grow up in a family with a diverse cultural background. It describes the bravery, hope and optimism required to uproot from all that is familiar, and to settle in a land where things are very different. It is a story that, we believe, will resonate with many and we hope that it will provide opportunities to open up discussions about how great it is to celebrate our differences and learn from each other.
Tochiko's fantastic illustrations transport the reader to a fishing village in China where the story begins and we meet the central character, Grandfather, and they provide a brilliant visual journey not only through time but also across the world. Get your own copy of this beautiful book here.
